Westminster Presbyterian Church began in
1830 and has met in our historic building since 1927. Our
decision to remain in the central Lynchburg area when other
churches were moving to the suburbs has allowed Westminster
to play a key role in ministry and missionary work. From its
location at the top of College Hill overlooking downtown
Lynchburg, Westminster has launched many important programs
including the Lynchburg Literacy Council, the Free Clinic,
Camp Timothy, and Churches for Urban Ministry. Our
members also regularly give their time to missionary work in
Malawi, Haiti, and Austria.
Westminster
Presbyterian Church is a church full of life for all ages.
The members of Westminster come from many backgrounds and
experiences and are united by love to worship and serve the
living God. Whether you wish to continue the work of Christ
by serving others, are seeking God's guidance in your
own life, or just enjoy fellowship among nice people, you
will find a welcoming and supportive environment here.
In a city with over 250 churches
Westminster Presbyterian Church remains a welcoming, shining
gem. Please visit us at 11th & Floyd
Streets.
